Massage Therapy aids in the recovery of soft tissue conditions such as muscle spasm, muscle tightness, tissue restriction and scar tissue, as well as imbalances in the positioning of body parts relative to other body parts, muscle weakness, and synergistic or opposing muscles or muscle groups. Massage therapy mobilizes tissues that may require separation from other tissues in the form of scars or tissue adhesions. There is no substitute for the direct impact of working locally on these issues with massage.
All massages are either 60, 75 or 90 minutes
Swedish Massage
A classic, flowing & gentle massage, a Swedish Massage is a great way to alleviate anxiety and promote ultimate relaxation. This style involves manipulating the muscles to relieve stress or pain, and uses strokes that flow towards the heart, promoting improvement of circulation.
Integrative Massage
This style is a combination of modalities of both Swedish & Deep Tissue where needed. Swedish involves manipulating the muscles to relieve stress or pain, and uses strokes that flow towards the heart, promoting improvement of circulation. Deep tissue manipulation uses slower, more powerful strokes.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue manipulation uses slower, more powerful strokes; Deep muscle techniques also involve direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain.
Cupping
Warming the tissues of the back, neck, and shoulders with massage, this cupping suction therapy creates a negative pressure environment allowing for myofascial decompression as the skin is drawn into the cups. While massage therapy uses direct pressure to release tension, cupping uses negative pressure to lift the muscle fibers and increase blood flow to the area.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is an ancient healing practice from China. The technique involves applying a massage tool over the skin in strokes or brush-like movements. The tool is applied hard enough to create a scraping sensation but not so hard that it should create pain. Typically, massage oil or another product is applied before the massage tool is used to reduce friction and ease the movement of the tool.
Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
Chinese medicine is an ancient system of health and wellness that has been used in China for thousands of years. Its power lies in the way it supports the body’s innate capacity to heal.
Chinese medicine encourages higher levels of health and well-being by creating more balance in your mind, body and spirit. Whether you want to address specific symptoms or just fine-tune your well-being, Chinese medicine is a powerful system for having more energy, less pain, and doing the things you want to do with your life.
Acupuncture is excellent at pain relief and decreasing muscle spasms, increasing blood flow to tissues of the body, and pushing out fluids that may contain chemicals and cause pain. Acupuncture needles can work into deeper tissues and can directly influence nerves and blood vessels to improve blood flow for tissue healing.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is an ancient, highly elaborate system of natural healing that has been used by millions of people for all kinds of health conditions in Asia.
Chinese herbal medicine is a wonderful complement to acupuncture treatment, as it works on different substrates in the body and maintains continuity in therapeutic intervention. Acupuncture works on the level of energy by harmonizing the flow of Qi through the main energetic pathways of the body. Quantum physics has verified that our entire material world is composed of energy, as is the human body. Acupuncture is so unique because it is one of the few therapies that can manipulate the flow of energy in the body and mind to produce a therapeutic effect. In acupuncture theory, until chronic health conditions are addressed on the energetic level, the root cause or problem will often be neglected.
Chinese herbs work more on the level of blood and manifest physiology. The herbs contain macro and micronutrients that can have specific therapeutic effects on certain organs of the body, such as the liver or kidneys. By working on both the immaterial and material levels, the treatment of acupuncture with herbs is much more effective and lasting.
